“It takes a village to raise a child.” — African proverb
Welcome to our group.
This play group is a WeChat group and a collection of activities hosted every month by volunteer parents for ages 0-3 years (expecting parents are also welcome to join). While we are affiliated with GWIC, we are not sponsored or funded by them, so non-GWIC members are invited to join us especially parents and grandparents. Ayis and nannies are welcome too but we prefer family members to join the kids as the time is also created for families to meet and make friends. We are 100% volunteers, moms & dads, and some of us are also working. We love fellow volunteers and welcome guest hosts. All our activities require 1-to-1 adult to child accompaniment.
Your feedback is welcome but please be courteous and discrete. We’re genuinely doing this for the love of all of our kids. Thank you!
Together, the below contacts will primarily man the WeChat group- answering questions, trying to keep side conversations to a minimum, focus to topic-related communications, etc. All members are welcome to give answers, advice, and opinions. You can ask any of the below contacts to add you to the WeChat group, also.
We are looking for a few more volunteers to co-lead the activities. See below for the vacancies and feel free to ask these contacts for more information. Thanks for your consideration in helping. It’s also a great way to meet new people.

Activities & Schedule
The schedule for each month is set by the 4th day of the prior month so our schedule can be published in the GWIC Gazette (e.g. Nov 4 is the deadline for December calendar). Schedule changes are most likely to occur in December for Christmas holidays, January/February for Lunar New Year holidays, and the Summer (June-August) for school breaks. Check the GWIC calendar for the most up to date schedule of each activity.
There will usually be a small fee for activities but our target is always to be affordable. You can see fees below for each activity. Sorry but no free trial classes/activities are given, as the group works as non-profit.
We have organized several types of activities to try to suit this very diverse development period for our kids. As you know, sometimes weeks or even just days go by and your child has become a very different person developmentally. We need low-key to high-energy activities with education always spread in between. Suggestions are welcome as are volunteers too.
